| Zygote intrafallopian transfer (ZIFT) |
A surgical procedure by which one or more surgically implanted zygotes in the fallopian tubes of women. Generally used medications such as gonadotropins, fertility in order to stimulate egg production and to prepare the uterus for implantation. Zygotes are placed in the fallopian tubes through a laparoscope and move to the uterus where, if the procedure succeeds, implant and continue their growth.
